Diary of a fat girl: day 1

I'm watching a show on TV right now called "Fat Free Fiances" and I'm actually REALLY enjoying it.

I've decided that it's time. Time for me to be honest with the world, set my goals, and get them out there. Time for me to make a change. (Says the girl sitting on the couch eating an ice cream sandwich and already being grumpy about going to the gym tonight...)

So...you may have noticed my weight loss ticker at the top of the page. I weighed in at 201 lbs. on February 6. On February 13, I weighed 195. Progress, right? Well, it was Valentine's day, so I ate a whole bunch of junk!

Anyway...I'm going to be honest about my weight for the first time in a very long time. I'm definitely not the heaviest I've ever been, but I'm not happy with the weight I am now. so...here I go. I'm asking for your help, for your motivation...

My goal is to lose 31 lbs. by the wedding...on May 29. I'll let you know what happens when I weigh in on Friday!

I can totally relate! I know you can do it! Good luck! I realized last week when I was eating a pint of Ben and Jerry's and watching the Biggest Loser that I needed to get off my duff and go to the gym. It was snowing and I didn't want to loose my parking spot underneath the Dev so I didn't go. Lazy? Yes. But keep working hard! You can do it and you'll look smokin' hot in your wedding dress and all other types of clothing/non-clothing that come with marriage. ;)

I know you will work hard to achieve your goal! I like that you are being accountable for your weight and being honest. That is hard to do when it comes to weight and weight loss. I'll be cheering you on!!

And I'm glad you will be here Thurs. Thanks for taking us up on our offer.

I'm trying to lose weight too. I had a goal to lose 37 pounds before our anniversary trip in June. I've only lost 6 in the last two months, but I'm determined! We can do it!!

Yeah girl, I feel you :) I wish I had cared a little more so I could've been sexier for Jonathan... But the best part is, Chris will always love you just the way you are. But you work it girl, feel good for your big day. But don't get discouraged if it doesn't go according to plan, and remember that you have the most wonderful man there beside you, thick or thin ;) I love and miss you! I am so proud of you!

My family is doing "the biggest loser," but they waited until I wasn't pregnant anymore since I dropped 30 pounds in about a week. I am about 10 pounds from my pre-preggo weight, but after that I need to lose at least 30. It sucks.

You can do it! I just discovered your blog through Shannon's and it makes me happy :) Good luck with the weight loss. I know you can do it! Like Shannon said, our family is doing our version of the Biggest Loser. I'm down about 7 pounds in a month. Not much but considering I'm on 2 meds that cause weight gain, I'm not complaining. Love ya!
